🎯 Core Responsibilities
The HSE Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, including:
🔍 Risk Assessment
- Inspect work areas to identify potential hazards.
- Identify faulty equipment and unsafe working practices.
- Assess workplace risks and recommend appropriate control measures.
📋 Safety Policy & Procedures
- Develop and update safety rules and procedures.
- Ensure HSE practices comply with applicable local regulations and industry standards.
🦺 Compliance & Site Safety
- Monitor daily operations and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Take immediate action when dangerous practices are observed.
🎓 Training & Safety Awareness
- Conduct safety orientations and toolbox talks.
- Organize emergency drills.
- Provide training on the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
🚨 Incident Investigation
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Identify root causes.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
📑 Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain HSE inspection and audit records.
- Keep training and safety documentation up to date.
- Prepare incident reports and other required HSE records for management and regulatory purposes.
👤 Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should have:
✅ Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
✅ Good risk assessment and hazard identification skills
✅ Ability to conduct HSE inspections and investigations
✅ Strong communication and training skills
✅ Knowledge of safety procedures and industry standards
✅ Ability to work effectively with site teams and management
